Using Your Library Card

Your library card allows you to check out Books, DVDs, CD Books, and Playaways. 

• Books, CD Books, and Playaways are checked out for two weeks at a time. 
• DVDs and magazines are checked out for one week at a time.
• e-Books and eAudiobooks available through Bridges/Libby and Hoopla are available for residents of Vinton and Rural Benton County.

LATE FEES: We do not charge fines for return of late materials, however we do charge for damaged or lost materials at the full cost of replacement.

RENEWALS: If you are going to be late returning your materials, please call 319-472-4208 to renew items. Renewal is not guaranteed if there are patrons on reserve for the item.

Get a Library Card

Please visit the library to get a library card. You will need to provide a Driver’s License or a current photo identification with proof of address before your library card can be issued. If the ID is not current, a piece of mail with the current address is acceptable.
